Disneyland Paris Hotel Castle Club Rooms Review: Inside the Magic

Disneyland Paris Hotel Castle Club Rooms

Ever dreamed of waking up with Sleeping Beauty Castle as your backdrop? That dream can become a reality. Right at the front gates of the magical kingdom, you’ll find the Disneyland Paris Hotel—a newly renovated hotel offering the most luxurious experience among all the accommodations at Disneyland Paris.

The hotel feels straight out of a fairytale, with a grand, luxurious reception, rooms conveniently placed near the entrance, and a pool you can hide at when the weather turns. A stay at this hotel doesn’t get better than this… or does it?

On the top floor of the hotel, you’ll find the Castle Club, a little magical secret. The rooms are only bookable by phone, and the luxury you once dreamed about just got an upgrade.

To celebrate my birthday, my partner surprised me with a stay in one of the Castle Club Rooms at the Disneyland Paris Hotel. Was it as magical as everyone says? Let’s find out!

Here we go! Let’s determine if staying here is worth it while we cover all aspects of the hotel, from the rooms to the location.

The Location

Whether you arrive by car, train, or shuttle, stepping onto the grounds of Disneyland Paris is always exciting, and arriving at the Disneyland Paris Hotel makes it even more special. This time, we came by car, and the valet took care of our bags while we were escorted to the Castle Club entrance. The entrance is located on the second floor, right by the hotel’s gift shop, and can be accessed through the main building. There’s a small waiting area with a vintage phone (more on this later) —you make a quick call, the elevator doors open, and you’re taken up to the Castle Club reception for check-in.

Depending on your arrival time, you can either go straight to your room (all of which are on the top floor) or head into the park while your room is being prepared. You’ll receive a notification in the Disneyland Paris app as soon as it’s ready. Castle Club guests also receive special entrance cards in a different color from the regular hotel cards, making it easy to enter and leave the park quickly.

Is this your first time at the Magic Kingdom? And are you not sure what to expect? Let my Disneyland Paris guide help you out!

The Rooms

Of course, the main reason you book a Castle Club room is the room itself—and honestly, it’s just as magical as you imagined. If you’re curious about the hotel in general, you can also read my review of the regular Disneyland Paris Hotel rooms.

One of the best things is that the balcony doors open to views of the park and castle, but they’re also soundproof, so when it’s time to sleep, you won’t be kept awake by the sounds of the park. During the day, you can hear the park coming to life, and at night, the music is turned off (though the lights stay on the entire night.. yes, I checked). The park does get cleaned overnight, so you might hear the occasional leaf blower, which is why you’ll want to the balcony doors closed at night (trust me).

Inside, the rooms are equipped with everything you need: a shower and bathtub, multiple plug types and converters so you can charge your devices no matter what type of outlet you have, and a stocked mini-bar with water and juices. There’s plenty of coffee and tea available, and in the evening, the staff even leave a tea tray, a “story of the day” pamphlet, and fresh nougat, little touches that make the stay feel extra special.

The Restaurant: La Forêt Secrète

La Forêt Secrète (translated “The Secret Forest”) is the newest addition to the Disneyland Paris Hotel, located on the Castle Club floors. The restaurant is led by renowned chef Jean Imbert, and you don’t have to be staying in a Castle Club room to book a table, making it perfect if you’re celebrating something special.

Honestly, the restaurant is incredibly beautiful. We were seated at the best table with a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and it was absolutely magical. You can choose between a 3-course or 5-course menu — we went for the 3-course, which was more than enough. The meal starts with an appetizer and comes with bread and homemade butter, which was delicious. We also opted for a wine pairing, and the wines were really nice.

The menu features meat and seafood inspired by Disney characters. For example, I had a seafood starter called “Under the Sea”, which was such a fun touch. The flavors are good, though not mind-blowingly amazing, but the ambiance, the friendly servers, and the castle views more than make up for it. If you stay long enough, you can even watch the fireworks from here (though we decided to watch from our room).

It’s a really lovely experience and definitely worth a visit — just keep in mind it’s the overall experience rather than the food being the absolute highlight.

The Restaurant: Castle Club Lounge Breakfast

During the day, the Castle Club lounge is a great spot to sit down and relax, but we opted to go straight for breakfast. The lounge itself is a small, cozy space with views of Sleeping Beauty Castle, making it a magical way to start the day.

Breakfast has lots of options, from the usual pastries, salmon, sausages, and pancakes, to a chef who can cook all sorts of eggs to your liking. Everything is fresh, well-presented, and gives you plenty of energy for a day in the park.

The fun Disney touch? Princesses make an appearance at breakfast! During our visit, Aurora and Tiana went table by table, chatting and taking photos with guests. Usually, I’m not someone who seeks out character experiences, but this felt completely natural—they were warm, friendly, and really made everyone feel at ease. It was a lovely, magical start to the day without feeling forced at all.

The Extra Perks of the Castle Club

Staying at the Disneyland Hotel is already a great experience. But if you’re staying in the Castle Club rooms, you’ll get a few extra perks that make the whole stay feel even more special.

  • Private check-in and Castle Club Lounge access
You skip the regular reception and check in directly at the exclusive Castle Club reception. The Castle Club Lounge is also open throughout the day if you want to relax or enjoy a quiet moment.

  • Dedicated elevator entrance to the park
You get a special elevator that takes you straight to the Disneyland Park entrance, meaning no queues and no crowds.

  • Castle Club park tickets
Your entrance cards are a different color and give you access through a separate park entrance, so you don’t have to wait in line with the other guests.

  • Complimentary drinks and snacks
Available in the Castle Club Lounge throughout the day.

  • Evening service
Each evening, guest services will come to your door with a small Disney surprise that changes daily—from tea and nougat to the “Story of the Day” leaflet.

  • Exclusive Castle Club details
Even the bathrobes and slippers have Castle Club embroidery, adding a little extra touch of luxury.

The Verdict

I really, really enjoyed my stay at the Castle Club—it was absolutely magical. Watching the fireworks from the balcony was such a highlight, and seeing everyone leave the park afterwards from up above felt surreal. We were dancing on the balcony to the goodbye music, waving at everyone passing by; it was just such a fun and special moment.

Seeing the fireworks from up top rather than from the crowd below is an incredible experience, and honestly, it made my birthday one of the best (if not the best) I’ve ever had.

If you’re considering booking a stay in the Castle Club rooms—do it. It’s an incredible and unique experience that’s worth every bit of the magic, with memories that will truly last a lifetime.

I hope this was helpful. If you have any more questions, you can always reach out here or on Instagram, and I’m more than happy to answer any of your questions. Happy Travels!
